Chapter 1- Blood Stained Past
Hundreds of years ago a crystal was discovered within the great mines of Asari. The Enchanted Crystal held an immense amount of unknown magic. The mighty dwarves of the Asarian nation were intrigued by the crystals powers and sought to harness this magic for their inventions. The Asarians were well known for their advanced war-changing machines. Their metal was of the highest quality mined from the many mines that cover their land. However, after they discovered the Crystal, a great evil was unleashed within the depths of the earth. Violently erupting from the earths core was a demon by the name of Garshok. Garshok was a powerful demon who also sought the mighty power of the Crystal. Sending the vast forces of evil to take the Crystal, the mighty Asarians were able to hold off Garshoks forces long enough for them to transport the Crystal onto a ship headed to the kingdom of Trestephia.
On the other side of the world, Garshok's forces had already engaged in conflict with the Naphiras. The magical fairies of Naphiras used the power of the sun to help fight against Garshok. Naphirans are prideful and energetic fairies. They are seldom seen with a displeased look on their faces. With a great wall around their nation, Naphirans handled Garshoks forces like petty chores to be done each day.
Trestephia set up a refugee camp for the Asarians and provided naval defense for the ship as the Asarians made their way to their island. Trestephia was a large island east of the Asarian Nation. Built upon the mighty seas, Trestephian humans were calm and disciplined. They were taught to be strategic in their engagements and to be calm in the face of danger. The Trestephians had little need for the Crystal. They only wanted to protect their allied Asarian Nations and make sure the Crystal does not end up in the hands of Garshok.

"Fayo! Wake up Fayo! We are going to be late for our first day in the academy!"
My eyes barely opened when I heard the voice of my sister. Pamelia was yelling at me from the door. At 18, long blonde hair and a slim figure, she looks like someone who would have graduated the academy already. Not to mention that she's been training everyday for this day to come. Academy placements. To say the least, I dreaded this day. I had not trained at any point of my life for this and did not expect to be placed among the elites. Pamelia will most likely be able to join the Scarlet Blades, the elite team that goes out on missions hunting Garshok forces in Asaria. Which reminds me, my friend Botlep should be here any time now to take us to the academy. I got ready and placed my sword on my belt. Lifebringer is the name of my sword. A longsword that was crafted the way I had given to the blacksmiths in the Asarian refugee camp. She's never seen battle and probably won't anytime soon. After the start the last war when we turn 18 years of age, everyone is required to carry a sword. Of course Pamelia is using a sword too or rather two of them.
I don't know their names though. We aren't allowed to give out of sword's names because our swords are tied to our magic. If we were to allow people to know our swords, then they will know our magic, especially dangerous for the evil Seers in Garshoks forces. From what I've learned, if they find out your sword's name, they can easily steal your magic and give it to someone else. Anyway, as Botlep arrives, Pamela and I hop into his motorcar and head off to the academy. Oh right, and I'm Fayo. I'm average sized for a Trestaphian human and rather medium built. I've more combat knowledge in my head then with my hands but that didn't stop me from entering the academy. Someday, I wish to become one of the greatest fighters in the Heart of Blades.
